Went on an EMS call and witnessed the murder of a 7 year old by the mom’s boyfriend. I stayed back to retrieve equipment as the ambulance took off with the patient to the hospital. No cops available or on scene. As the boyfriend cleaned off his windshield, he told me exactly what he’d done. I became the primary witness for the prosecution. While await the trial, I started getting anxious and depressed. I had to quit EMS and nursing. For five years, I languished. Eventually got PTSD diagnosis. Fought back and I’m once again working in EMS and nursing.
